Details

Tiber Island Rowhouse Located within the historic Tiber Island cooperative—an award-winning 1965 modernist development—this rowhouse renovation focused on bringing light, openness, and contemporary functionality to an aging interior. The redesign centered on the homeowners’ love of cooking and entertaining. The first floor was opened up to create a bright, modern kitchen with generous counter space and improved flow. Warm wood flooring and floor-to-ceiling glass panels enhance the sense of space, while a glass door connects the interior to a private courtyard. A streamlined staircase with a steel railing leads to the second level, where the layout was reconfigured to maximize daylight. Bedrooms were positioned along exterior walls with sliding glass doors that open to intimate balconies. Updated bathrooms feature large mirrors, modern fixtures, and glass-enclosed showers, allowing light to move freely and making the spaces feel larger and more refined.
