Our Process

  • For your building or remodeling project, we begin with an extensive consultation where our main goal is to listen and learn about your needs and your ideas about the space.

    From there we develop a detailed construction plan, which includes a road map of every stage of the process. If desired, we work with your architect or ours to plan a space that will fit in with your lifestyle and your budget. During the construction phase we manage all aspects of the project and are in constant communication with you about the status.

    Once the project is complete, we conduct a final walk-through with you, and guarantee our work for seven years. Before our initial consultation, please print and complete our Home Planning Guide.

DESIGN/BUILD PROCESS

Initial Consultation

Meeting at the site to discuss the project, design concerns, and budgeting

COST: No Charge

Phase 1

Preliminary Design/Feasibility Study

  • Measure and photograph existing house
  • Preliminary check of the exiting mechanical & structural systems
  • Draw existing house plans
  • Check zoning restrictions
  • Explore various design options
  • Develop preliminary design concepts
  • Comprehensive project (20% spread)

COST: $3,000-$5,000 average

Phase 2

Construction Documents

  • Refine design
  • Review design/site with mechanical and structural experts at a walk-through of project
  • Assist in selections/specifications
  • Progress meetings with client as required
  • Develop detailed construction plans/elevations
  • Prepare comprehensive construction contract with menu of options

COST: 10% of projected construction costs

Phase 3

Construction

  • Start and completion dates specified in contract
  • Permits procured by Archer
  • Flowchart of project
  • Weekly meeting between client and Owner
  • Coordinate subs/inspections
  • Payments made according to draw schedule
  • Punch list at completion of project.

COST: Fixed price contract
